Here I am, ready to open up my thoughts to the world; or at least to those who might be interested in reading anything I might have to share. I don't mean to imply I am an introvert. To the contrary, re-energizing from the company of others while sharing my thoughts is a way of life. However, I sell my art and that makes me a business man. Since these days blogging is a must-have business tool used by individuals who sell products online, I have no choice but to confront my fear of writing.

There, I said it. I have a fear of being judged by my writing skills. I still have nightmares radicated in my college years when writing was the only way I was going to obtain my diploma. Panama is my home country. Spanish is my first language and I was mediocre at writing in Spanish. I grew up listening English through TV, friends and family, but I didn't have to speak it or even understand it to survive my childhood. When confronted with the reality that I chose to go to college in an English speaking country (USA), I knew I had to give it my best. Well, my best was not good. I painfully fumbled through my writing assignments, but I did graduate.

Photographers are perfectionist. (that sounds like a justification, as if I was born a photographer and didn't have anything to do with becoming a perfectionist). Ok, I am a perfectionist and not being good an endeavor is painful. I thought my days of suffering through writing were over. Well I was wrong. Now I am a photographer who has to write.

So ready or not, Here I go.
